Moved and Tired

Can barely keep my eyes open enough to type this entry. Osang is 95% moved..the rest she will do sometime during this wkend. Anyway today was tiring but productive. Looking forward to some down time tomorrow. :)

Summer's Finally Here!

Took my Step 1 exam yesterday and so summer officially began today.

What can I say about that experience? So many things. It was like I was so prepared for many detailed questions about pathology but then most of them were just "What disease does this patient have." Those were the easy ones. Then I got like 10 questions on epithelial cell junctions--experiments on epithelial cell junctions--what goes wrong with certain epithelial cell junctions--what is important in epithelial cell junctions. Wow. Anyway, it's done! And now just the waiting period...

Until then, I plan to enjoy the summer, hopefully update this blog daily to record every minute of this much needed break period. Stay tuned!

Funny nails? Funny girl

I watched the movie Funny Girl the other day since many songs on Glee were paying tribute to Ms. Streisand. (Random: did you know there is something called the Streisand effect? Of course, nothing to do with absolutely loving the movie.)

Anyway, because I am a medical student, I can't just sit and watch a movie. I must be doing at least one other thing. And that day's multitasking activiy: mani-pedi. I based the design of the ring finger on the nails of Andrea from AndreasChoice. Like the background for the picture? :D

Well...back to studying!

(my pinkie looks somewhat distorted, but it's only because while I was taking the picture with my other hand, the hand pictured decided to mash itself into the book... edema hands!)

My perfume has a stunt double

And it's name is Country Chic.

Bath and Body Works recently had an amazing deal - spend $40, get a spring tote packed with goodies (worth $100) for only $20. I'm usually a little wary of these deals since I think that companies use this as a means to make money off their not-so-popular products..but I decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness...was it worth it.

A few of the products were the Country Chic scent - a body lotion, a shower gel, and a fragrance mist. I'm not sure if maybe this is why it was incorporated into the deal, but they all smell differently! While I don't hate the shower gel, the lotion is a little too "citrus-y" for me. The highlight, however, is the fragrance mist. It smells almost identical to my perfume, Hot Couture by Givenchy. Of course the mist has a lighter concentration to it...but at couple bucks cheaper and a few ounces more, it's something to consider!

Well...back to studying!

Nordstrom Rack has made it to DC!

..and I couldn't be more excited. Picked up a few things (needed and not needed) but I think these earrings are my favorite. How adorable are the birds! And it came with cute tin case, so it was hard to resist.

Ahh...it's good to be home

Mama Norma flips open her cell phone, puts it to her ear, pauses, and says, "Oh..how come there is no dial tone?"

Christina: OMG, deja vu!! That's the lady and the baby we saw on the corner at this same time yesterday.
Phil: Oh yahhh! Coo...
(Christina holds out fist for a 'dap')
Phil (looks over, confused): What??
Christina: A dap!! Something cool just happened.
Phil: That's not how a dap works.
